“Women in venture capital is still a big deal”

Renana Ashkenazi, a partner at Grove Ventures, one of Israel’s leading early-stage venture capital funds, participated in a discussion about women in VC. The article highlights the underrepresentation of women in the venture capital industry, with less than 9% of risk fund employees in Israel being women. Ashkenazi and three female representatives of other prominent VC firms in Israel, including Viola Ventures, Entrée Capital, and Glilot Capital, acknowledged that being a woman in the industry is still considered an event rather than routine, and they discussed the importance of gender diversity in investment decisions.
