API marketplace RapidAPI has raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. RapidAPI offers a platform for developers to discover, test, and use publicly available APIs, enabling faster integration of third-party services. The startup provides free and open-source adapters to connect APIs and currently supports over 100 APIs, with a backlog of 300 requested by users. The company has around 20,000 developers using the free version and offers an enterprise tier for managing internal APIs within companies. RapidAPI is a portfolio company of VC Grove Ventures, one of Israel’s most prominent venture capital firms.
