A new breed of hi-tech angel investor

The tech investment landscape in Israel is evolving to include a new breed of high-tech angel investors who are senior employees turned investors. This development is driven by factors such as recent tech IPOs and SPAC merger deals, which have enabled senior employees to gain capital through the sale of shares. Additionally, Israeli startups are raising larger amounts of capital in early and late-stage funding rounds, creating employees with deeper pockets. This trend is similar to what has been seen in Silicon Valley, and it is expected to have an impact on early-stage capital fundraising for startups in Israel. Notably, Grove Ventures, a top Israeli early-stage venture capital firm, is actively involved in the Israeli tech ecosystem and supports the growth of these new angel investors.
