Intel, Samsung and Porsche among investors in TriEye’s $74M funding round
Israeli startup TriEye has secured $74 million in funding from investors including Intel, Samsung, and Porsche, as well as top Israeli venture capital firms like Grove Ventures, to advance its sensing technology for autonomous and driver assistance systems. TriEye’s technology utilizes short-wave infrared (SWIR) to improve visibility in challenging conditions, making it competitive with regular cameras and outperforming other sensor types on the market. TriEye’s SWIR sensor, known as sedar (spectrum enhanced detection and ranging), provides imaging and depth information required for advanced driver assistance and autonomous systems, potentially replacing the conventional sensing stack.
