Israeli AI drug discovery co Protai raises $8m

Israeli AI-powered drug discovery company Protai has raised $8 million in a seed financing round, co-led by top venture capital funds Grove Ventures and Pitango HealthTech. Protai has developed an AI-based platform that maps the course of a disease on the protein level, improving the observation of cellular function and enhancing drug discovery. The funds will be used to further develop the platform, accelerate discovery programs, and strengthen partnerships with pharmaceutical companies. Protai claims to have created the world’s largest proteomic database, enabling accurate simulations of biological processes for various diseases and speeding up drug research and development.
