Dov is one of Israel’s most prominent hi-tech leader, entrepreneur and investor. He is known as a pioneer of several flash memory technologies, most notably as the inventor of the USB flash drive.
Dov was a founder and CEO of M-Systems (NSDQ: FLSH), a world leader in the flash data storage market. Under Dov's leadership, M-Systems grew to $1B revenue, and was acquired by SanDisk Corp (NSDQ: SNDK) for $1.6B. This ranks as one of the biggest acquisitions in Israel.
In addition, Dov was the founder and CEO of modu which developed a revolutionary modular phone. Modu’s assets were acquired by Google in 2011 and are the basis for Google's modular phone Project Ara.
Dov has invested in many successful start-ups in the digital health, media, SaaS and IoT sectors. He currently serves on the boards of Comigo, Glucome, Rapid API, Geneformics and was previously the Chairman of Tower Semiconductors (NASDAQ:TSEM).
Dov is one of the most famous and highly appreciated hi-tech leaders in the world with many prestigious awards, such as IEEE Reynold B. Johnson Information Storage Systems Award and Edward Rheine Award (Nobel Prize for technology) and is the inventor of over 40 patents.
Dov holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa.
